![]() Topic: When to stop Vitex after BFPPosted: 10 January 2009 at 3:31am |

The conventional answer is as soon as you find out about the preg.
HOWEVER, my hormones up to the time I started Vitex were way wacky. I dont think I was ovulating and periods were these tiny day and a half deals. Cycle was 34 days. Before that my usual AF was about 10 days of heavy bleeding.
WHen do your preg hormones kick in good in order to sustain the pregnancy? I never had any tests so I dont know what was low and what if anything natural I should take to maintain/support healthy preg hormones.
PS I am 38

Hi Volt, sounds like congratulations is in order, or are you just asking for when you do fall pregnant? sorry I think I confused myself reading your post...lol Vitex is'nt recommended during pregnancy so as soon as you find out your pregnant you should discontinue. If your cycle is all over the place you may need to be using opk's to determine your fertile period.
Also a good idea is to regularly test with hpts (pregnancy tests) to confirm or rule out pregnancy. This may mean you are testing for pregnancy on a weekly basis if you have no idea where you are at with your cycle and if you may be pregnant or not. The pregnow hpt's are ultrasensitive and can detect pregnancy before your missed period so I would suggest getting a pack of them from the website.
Hormones to help sustain a developing embryo are rleased from the day of ovulation from the corpus luteum i.e progesterone. Pregnancy hormones start being released from the day of conception i.e hcg, progesteroen, oestrogen etc however the placenta starts fully functioning around week 10 - 12 of pregnancy it then takes over form the corpus luteum.
If you are concerned about low hormones such as progesterone and or excessive oestrogen or any hormonal imbalance that may cause a recurrent m/c then I would suggest instead of vitex you use False Unicorn Root (FUR)as it is indicated during pregnancy. FUR is safe to use in the first trimester to help balance pregnancy hormones till the placenta starts fully functioning. It has been used for centuries to help prevent threatend m/c.
Dont forget you should also be taking folic acid, preferably preconceptionaly at least 3 months prior to conceiving. Please update me when you read this message, are you pregnant or just asking for when you do fall pregnant?

Just asking what to do when I get pregnant. Hopefully I will be there soon. The Vitex just kickstarted my cycles last month, so it may take a few til I achieve my goal :)
I will see if I can find a place to get FUR, THANKS!

The view over a valley of a tiny village with thatched(草盖的)roof cottages around a church; a drive through a narrow village street lines with thatched cottages painted pink or white; the sight in parts of England. Atlantica gold,Most people will agree that the thatched roof is an essential part of the attraction of the English countryside. The researcher then studied the videotapes to analyse the matches in detail. Surprisingly, he found that errors were more likely when the referees were close to the incident. When the officials got it right, they were, on average, 17 meters away from rohan crone, the action. The average distance in the case of errors was 12 meters. The research shows the optimum(最佳的)distance is about 20 meters. There also seemed to be an optimum speed. Correct decisions came when the referees were moving at a speed of about 2 meters per second. The average speed for errors was 4 meters per second. Thatching is a solitarycraft, |
